This study assessed the composition, nutrient content, nutrient content claims and related labelling practices as declared on the labels of 68 commercially produced complementary foods (CPCF) purchased in Khsach Kandal District, Kandal Province, Cambodia in 2020 against global standards and guidance (Codex Alimentarius and WHO), and relevant national legislation. The study also compared the nutrient content (as determined by laboratory assessment) of a sub-sample of the most commonly available CPCF, purchased in Khsach Kandal District and Phnom Penh in 2020, to their declared nutritional information.
