In collaboration with Nepal Ministry of Health and Population, ARCH designed the Nepal Mother’s Milk Substitutes (Breast-Milk Substitutes) Act awareness banner explaining the provisions pertaining to health workers. These awareness banners were distributed to Kathmandu Valley hospitals in September 2021. Access the awareness banner in Nepali here.
ARCH worked with Nepal Health Education Information and Communication (NHEICC) to produce an informational video to teach health workers about the Nepal Mother’s Milk Substitutes Act. A second video was also developed with the message of emphasizing breastfeeding as a shared responsibility for all. With support from NHEICC, the breastfeeding informational videos were broadcast on Nepali national television in March 2023.
