World Health Assembly Welcomes Resolution to Protect Infant and Child Nutrition

It’s been 35 years since the International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes (the Code) was passed by the World Health Assembly (WHA). Last month, leaders at the 69th Assembly welcomed a new resolution aimed at protecting breastfeeding and the appropriate complementary feeding of young children.

HKI Research Informs Global Health Policies on Infant and Young Child Health

ARCH investigated what types of commercially produced foods children under two were eating in Cambodia, Nepal, Tanzania, and Senegal. They also found out what kind of ads mothers saw promoting these foods. The purpose was to inform decision makers about how to improve policies that support infant and young child nutrition.
